Okay, so after a full glass of Bailey’s (don’t laugh I have absolutely no tolerance for alcohol, ‘m one of those ppl you could have sniff a cork and get tipsy, lol), I had an idea. Yes, dangerous I know, but it turned out to be a good one, I managed to find a reference that while not making that damn plot point likely made it plausible! I’m still having my usual crisis of whatever it is about my writing, but at least I managed to salvage the fic. *crosses fingers and hopes it doesn’t get flamed*

I have entirely tooooooo many con posts to go through, but ‘m hoping since they’re coming in from at least 3 different coms I can count on a goodly amount of x-posting, it’s just that finding time to open them all and then actually go through weeding out the bits I want and trying to avoid spoilers and other things that make Mys twitch. And really ‘m getting WAY too twitchy about a certain character to remain nameless, which kind sucks since I’m expecting S3 of Merlin to finally start this weekend. *crosses fingers* But on the upside there are Merlin and Arthur and Evil Dead moments! :} And why hasn’t anyone ever done a manip of the Army of Darkness poster (any of them) with the boys, et al? *wishes she was a halfway decent maniper (Ohhhhhhh, I smell a new KMM prompt!)*

Just between SNOOKER- yes, it’s BAAAACCCKKKKKKKK :p~ - and that fic and the one ‘m hoping to take on (you know how it is when the muses insist on whispering to you even when you don’t know you’ll be writing whatever they’re on about) and the betaing, which I finished my second pass on yesterday, so bonus :) and the other beta job (much, much smaller), and the world generally being on the verge of nuking itself- Pup’s making disgruntled noises at me and Mom’s coming to visit Thursday, well, she gets here Thursday, not just here for Thursday, so yeah powder keg.
Anyway, I will get to ppl, promise!

I was finally getting my feet back under me as far as merlin_land went and now ‘m gonna be relatively MIA over the next couple weeks, which royally sucks. I’m gonna try to sneak in where I can and I’m hoping to have my gifs done by tomorrow night- no mean feat since I haven’t even started scouring for the clips I want to use. On the upside, I haven’t touched 1x05 for anything yet, so it should provide me much fodder esp for my extras- I almost saved some of the ones from… bugger all, what was the set I was doing when I raided 3x13??? …anyway, those I almost saved them, but Merlin was too MERLIN for me not to.

Random fangrrling Mys is fangrrling- I came to the realization the other day that other than the You’re the Voice vid and a couple of the “Merlin Quest” things, I’ve managed to still not hear Colin’s real voice… this is out of self-preservation mind you, I know me and I’ll really becomeeven more of an obsessive stalker girl if I have that voice rolling around in my head. I’m just surprised I’ve managed to hold out so long. Anybody got any suggestions? Preferably something where his accent is thick- I have almost everything, ‘m probably missing a few interviews, I think, but still most of it- I figure if ‘m gonna go I should go hard, erm, yes, moving on…

And damn-it, Island’s supposed to get here when we’re out of town!!!!!!!!!!! *glares* Esp if I’m having to wait extra because of the trip, I will find a way to watch it even with ppl here when I get back!

In other non-Merlin-y news, Dexter started here this weekend, which is of course of the good. It is not the end all be all as some would have you think but it is of the good, esp as it gives me something else to have to sit through than Desperate fucking Housewives!!!!!! No offense, but really it’s not all that and if it weren’t for the fact that I have a thing for James Denton (thank you, TV6, and your incessant reruns of The Pretender when I first moved here) I don’t think I’d be able to sit through most of it. *grrr* Seriously, given the choice of Desperate and NCIS (which again isn’t all that, but it has parts Michael Weatherly and Mark Harmon shaped parts and Abby and Ducky- and yes a bit of an old thing from too many sleepless nights at my Grandmother’s with only Nick at Nite for company- and bad in jokes about Jessica Alba and Illya Kuryakin, so see, parts, many more parts than Desperate) or Criminal Minds (which is totally ALL THAT and thensome! ♥), you mean to tell me that Desperate is really the better choice? *sigh*
The only bad thing about Dexter starting back up is that I now have to suffer through the constant jabs about me not being able to process and understand emotions and stuff ‘like Dexter’ and all… we were catching up last couple nights on the end of S4 and it was already starting. That could be one of the reasons I don’t like Dexter more, but she also does the same thing when Reid is oblivious, of course that’s fewer and farther between these days, so maybe that’s why it doesn’t bother me as much. *shrugs*

FYI- I am still avoiding SPN, but it will come soon-ish, probably after Mom leaves.

Okay, time to straighten the neckerchief and attack the mountain of dishes (how the hells one family can use EVERY cup, plate, and bowl in the house in less than 24hrs on a disturbingly regular basis is truly beyond me) and sort out the laundry- at least HS is gone for a few days, that always cuts down on everything. Anyway, duty calls.

ETA- Pup just came in to tell my Andrew Lloyd Webber has done a 'new' (okay, Pup just added that it was back in March, not that this does anything to disarm the point) musical with her end all, be all of the musical world, Michael Crawford, in... Wizard of Oz. *mrphle- and not the good kind* Yes, I know there are only like 3 or 4 of you who will understand the true depths of disturbing horror this is for me. She hasn't told me anything else; I take it, it is more his production rather than him trying to rewrite everything... that is almost worse. Gods, she's going to be insufferable... *dies- again not the good kind* 'scuse me while I go twitch uncontrollably for a few hours.
