On Apocalyae and Rumours of My Death

So I just (finally) watched Stonehenge Apocalypse. And gods I haven't been that mindlessly happy in too long... I miss bad USA and SciFi (yes, I know they changed their name, but old habits, ya know) channel movies. I spent half the thing giggling because 'omgs it's SG1' and on one occasion 'ack, sneaky Cas face!', yeah, I had way too much fun with that, lol. Anyway, I just wanna know if I'm the only one whose reaction at the end involved ascension and bad SG1 fusions. *head desk*

Oh, and sorry I've been MIA, been working on my mini-Bang and trying to wrap my head around Casfest, so of course I signed up for the Sam/Gabe fic exchange, too, lol. Anyway Dean's finally taslking the way I need him to, so don't be surprised if I continue to be MIA for a while. Anywho, if anybody needs me just PM me, e-mail me, think really horrible thoughts in my direction, whatever works best. Otherwise don't worry and until further notice, the Mys is alive.

I am finally going to watch the Mishapocalype. I am putting a hold on reading and hoping the wank-fest. Has stopped. I had to block 200 people from contacting me on LJ because they just would not stop.

I defended the girl they were burning at the steak for making a mistake that many white people do. I don't think she is a racist just a bit stupid and immature but she does not deserve the shit they are giving her for her J2 big bang. Because she dropped J2 in the middle of the Haitian disaster as doctors who fall in love and some of the language she used for her Black charries was a patois, her version, they are stoning her to death.

I don;t think she was being racist intentionally and after someone mentioned to her that her story may offend people she apologized. We allow a lot os thing in out communities that may offend people. We put warnings on them and people can skip them. I figure if the story bother's you don't read it. no need to continue on after the girl apologized.

Now they are critiquing her apology. It is WAY beyond stupid. I have removed myself from the situation. after saying my piece.

Seriously, I mean I don't know what exactly was said, but there are plenty of things, terms, whatever that for some ppl mean little to nothing but for others is offensive. The best we can do is learn from the mistake and move on. *shakes head at the wank that is fandom*
